What does CWFF stand for and what is it?

CWFF is the Canadian World Friendship Fund. CWFF allows Girl Guides of Canada to support the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts’ projects globally. Such projects include World Centers, the World Thinking Day Fund and mutual aid for guiding projects in developing countries designed to improve girls and young women within their communities.

How do I transfer World Friendship Fund donations to Province?

Units may make donations to the Canadian World Friendship Fund (CWFF) by transfer. CWFF donations are not automatically withdrawn from the Unit Account. Complete a Unit-to-Ontario Council Transfer Request to initiate the transfer.

Can I make donations to other charities?

No. Units may not make donation to other organizations or charities (see GGC Governance Policies for more details - member login required).

How long does the CWFF donation take to go through?

Ontario Council will withdraw the requested donation amount from the Unit Banking Account within 3 business days of receipt of the transfer request. Contact Unit Banking at banking.admin1@guidesontario.org
