Preparing for deliveries

Dear Cookie Receivers,

The spring 2020 Cookie campaign is almost here and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you again for joining and staying on our team this campaign.

To help you prepare, we have a few tips and reminders to share:

  1. Sales Aids
    • Your sales aids (Cookie Dough envelopes) should have arrived in January
    • If you do not receive a shipment of sales aids by February 28th, please let us know and we will mail you some from the office
    • When units come to pick up their cookies, please have Cookie Dough envelopes out to offer to Guiders
  2. Missing/Damaged Cases
    • In the event of missing or damaged cases discovered on delivery please:
      • Return any damaged cases to the driver
      • Request replacements
      • Note any shortages or replacements on the POD before signing
      • Report any missing/damaged cases to the office
  3. PODs (Proof of Delivery)
    • The POD is the delivery slip signed by the driver and Receiver confirming the number of cases delivered in good condition
    • It is very important to keep a copy of the POD and sign both copies to ensure credits can be received in the event of missing or damaged cases
    • If there is any discrepancy between the POD and actual delivery, please note it on the sheet and sign off
  4. Communication with the transport company
    • Receivers should NOT contact the transport company directly
      • Any changes made to delivery information have an associated cost and must be processed by the Cookie department
    • On weekdays please call us at the office to report:
      • Late delivery, no phone call from the driver, issues with delivery
    • On weekends, please call the Cookie Adviser at 1.877.323.4545 ext. 6804
