March Break deliveries

Originally published in the Guide ON eNews, March 3rd, 2020

to all adult members in communities 1, 3, 17-19, 22-30, 35 and 40

While we do try our best to avoid delivery over the week of March break, some communities have deliveries scheduled on March 14th and 21st due to the availability of the transport companies and time required to complete all deliveries in Ontario. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance in preparing for your deliveries.

Once your unit has received your delivery notice, please prepare to have cookies picked up within the Receiver’s specified time frame.

Our Cookie Receivers are a wonderful group of volunteers who offer their space and time for cookie delivery and distribution each campaign. When picking up cookies please keep the following in mind:

  • Pick-up cookies on time
    • Make sure to read your campaign delivery notice in full, as some Receivers include specific notes about pick-up arrangements
  • Arrange pick-up of all cookie cases if you are out of town
    • Cookies can be picked up by any active Guider in the unit, a parent, friend or family member
    • If someone else is picking up cookies on your behalf please provide your Receiver with their contact information prior to pick-up
  • Prepare for storage of cookies
    • Have a secure location at a temperature below 28°C ready for cookies once they are picked up
    • Ensure cookies are NOT stored in a vehicle, freezer, direct sunlight or outdoors
  • Prepare for cookie sign-out to families

If your cookie delivery date coincides with March break and you are not available, please confirm an individual who can pick up cookies on behalf of the unit when they arrive.
