  WAGGGS Twinning 2020: Québec & Perú 
  Twinning 2020 Challenge Crest


You can incorporate Twinning activities in your program planning for this year! The following requirements need to be met in order to earn the Twinning 2020 Crest:


Participate in three of the following:

1) Play the WAGGGS World Thinking Day 2015 Game

2) Participate in 2 of the activities from the Twinning 2020 Cultural Exchange Activities (on the national website) and share your experiences via photo or video on the Twinning 2020 Perú – Canada Facebook page


3) Participate in International Day of the Girl activities


Have you joined the WAGGGS Twinning 2020: Québec-Perú Facebook group yet? This page will be a site of sharing, fun and digital exchange! Guides from Québec and Perú are encouraged to share their experiences, photos and stories to this page.

Canadian World Friendship Fund Pizza Challenge Winners

Canadian World Friendship Fund Pizza Challenge 2014

Congratulations to the 2014 winners:

1. Most novel way to raise funds: 85th Montreal Guides raised money by taking care of a hard-boiled egg for a week to earn their Child Care badge. Read more about how they did it!



2. Most money raised per person registered in a unit, including the Guiders: 1st Pincourt Pathfinders raised $10 per member by hosting a wacky auction!


Did you know...
Through the Canadian World Friendship Fund (CWFF), Girl Guides of Canada is able to support projects in developing countries designed to improve the lives of girls and young women and their communities. Contributions to the CWFF also support Canadian girls and women attending international events.

Thank you to the groups who submitted entries for the Pizza Challenge, raising money for the Canadian World Friendship Fund (CWFF). We will hold it again next year, so the rest of you can start planning!
The winners of a $100 pizza party are:

Most money per member: 1st Mount Bruno Pathfinders - They raised $11.82 per member selling leftover cookies and collecting district toonies.

Most original idea:
2nd Strathmore and 1st Valois Guides: They held a nickel arcade and invited units from other districts! Here are some snapshots of the event:



Past Travel - 2012

  • We had girls and a Guider selected to represent Canada on trips to Scotland, and Oregon
  • We had a group, sponsored by Québec Council, who traveled to London and Ireland
  • We had two groups who planned independent trips to New York City and to Our Chalet (including stops in Amsterdam and Munich)
  • We had two Guide groups attend a Girl Scouts USA camp in June
