Guider | My mom has always been young at heart and feels younger being involved with Girl Guides. Not many would agree to the challenges that girls have brought to her – especially those that make her face her fears. This past summer her Rangers got her onto a roller coaster. When she sees a need, she tries to help. When preparing for their last trip, some girls had a hard time getting together the money to attend. Mom found help so the girls wouldn’t miss out.

Luci J, Alberta

Guider | Luci has made such an impact here in the community and on lives of the girls she touches through the Guiding program. One of the biggest impacts I see is when you go to any community function and the girls just run up to her and give her the biggest hug and say “I wish girl guides never ends” - they even make me laugh when they say “I wish she was my mother”. Girls look up to her as a super hero, she is a great leader and overall caring person, and an amazing woman of every month.

Cindy M, Nova Scotia

Commissioner - Guider | Cindy is the driving force behind this District, planning unique trips, outings and guests and supporting local events. She drove 2 hours away to ensure each girl at our registration received a tree as a symbol of their growth in Guiding. She waited in the rain with our girls, to greet and actually meet the Queen and arranged for Pathfinders to be medal bearers at the Canada Games. She always goes above and beyond.
