Increase public speaking and debate skills; learn about the parliamentary process; meet interesting motivational speakers chosen by the elected delegates; have fun with participants from all over Alberta and beyond; complete your Duke of Edinburgh Residential requirement; shop at West Edmonton Mall; tour the Alberta Legislature Building; find out about different political careers; make lasting friendships; receive the exclusive AGP pin and crest; and so much more.

Is it educational AND fun?

See these testimonials from Rangers who have come to AGP more than once.
"If I would tell one thing to a parent it would be that a girl learns more at the five days at AGP then she ever will in a year of school. I personally have seen more growth at AGP than among my fellow classmates at school throughout the year. Totally worth missing two days of school. Also, there is time to do homework, so their daughter shouldn't fall behind." - KL

"It seems like a "snobby" activity. My first year, I almost didn't go. I went on a scholarship from provincial council and a whim. But AGP is BY FAR my favourite event, and I've even been to Ecuador with GGC. My word of advice is: just go. It's worth missing the school. It's worth risking your weekend for some "boring government simulation". But oh my gosh, AGP is SO much more than that." –RH (from Saskatchewan)"

WARNING:  Spots fill fast, and applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis so please do not delay.  We encourage a mix of new and returning girls. All successful applicants receive an information package by February 2019.

What if I am younger than 14?
