Special Days

Girl Guides continually strives to encourage girls to be aware and involved in their communities. From that desire, Special Days was formed. Throughout the year we highlight special days, weeks and months that girls can celebrate with their units through fun girl programming activities. What better way to learn more about the community, to give back, or become aware about important issues?

  • International Day of Peace: September 21, 2017
  • 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence: November 25-December 10, 2017
  • Inspire Your Heart With Art Day: January 31, 2018
  • National Mental Health Week: May 7 - 13, 2018
  • Canadian Multiculturalism Day: June 27, 2018
