“Camp fun for Brownies” will be offered in 2 locations this year. Both events will be held on March 25, 2017, one in Saint John and one in Riverview. The same itinerary will be followed at each event. All event locations will have indoor activities, so weather will not be a factor (Except for travel).
The day begins with registration at 9:30am followed by an opening ceremony. There will be 5 round robin activity stations with breaks and lunch appropriately spaced during the day. Break time is a great opportunity for the girls to swap and meet new friends. The event will end with singing and closing ceremony with a departure time of 3pm.
Each participant will need to bring a lunch and snacks for the day. There will be water available onsite so participants will need to bring a water bottle that they can refill. Participants should wear their Brownie uniform and indoor sneakers. Sit upon is optional. Bring along traders to swap. Please no sleeveless tops, sandals, gum, or electronic devices (cell phones, DS, etc).
For the safety of the girls each unit must have adult supervision ratio of 1 Adult to 7 Brownies. Each unit must have a personal Health form (H1 or H2) and a completed SG.2 for each participant. The SG4 will be the responsibility of the host area. If your unit is arranging transportation then you will need to do the additional Safe Guide forms for transportation.
Directions for Riverview Location: Coverdale Center
50 Runnymeade Rd, Riverview, NB Drive down Coverdale Rd, Rte 112, Riverview, towards Fundy National Park. Go past the bridge, you will pass the sewage treatment plant on your left and then a Petro Can on your right. About a block past that you will see a sign for the Coverdale Centre. Turn right onto Runnymeade St. At the top of the street you will see the center. Emergency number is 387-2132.
