Attention Brownie Guiders!
Hopefully you will come and join us for Adventures on the High Seas, Provincial Brownie Camp which will be held June 16-18 at Camp Medley. We plan to have lots of fun!
At Camp Medley there are 10 cabins. The top bunks do not have railings and will not be able to be used by girls. Each cabin has 16 beds but, as previously stated the top 8 are not for girls. There is lots of floor space. There is also a lot of space for tenting. If you want a cabin, you need to get your application in with completed paperwork early as they will be in a first come basis.
If your girls have their boat or swim test, please make sure that it is in iMIS. Boating and swimming are part of the program but, if a girl does not want to do either of these, there will be other choices. The boat and swim tests will not be done at camp. If your girls don’t have them but you want to have the testing done, contact your local swimming pool and make this a unit meeting. It makes a nice change and can be a lot of fun.
This is a pirate themed camp and as such, you, as the Responsible Guider, will be the Captain of your Brownie ship! Once registration is sent to the Provincial Office, you will receive a booklet about the camp, a pirate ship name and way of finding fun pirate names for your girls.
- Everyone needs to bring a pirate costume to camp.
- Each patrol will be expected to have a short skit about their pirate ship and a banner about them and their ship.
- Let your girls’ imagination run wild!
There will be no dish washing at camp and you do not have to bring dishes. This will all be taken care of in the Galley where there are dishes and a dish washer.
The cost for this camp is $80 (HST included) for girls and $40 for Guiders and Staff.
