You have the chance to help plan a challenge badge for PEI and NB. This is true girl engagement.
We want the girls, their units, unit leaders and anyone who believes in the statement Girls First, to develop the GIRL ENGAGEMENT CHALLENGE. This will be a challenge that has pieces that will be worked on and collected over the time the girls are in Guiding. To get the last pieces you need to be in Rangers. This challenge should include activities that:
- Encourage girls in their interests
- Expand the girls knowledge of camping, international travel and programming
- Develop knowledge of the Guiding Movement
- The pieces should be obtainable over the different units
- Girls who join late in their guiding career or who are in units above Sparks should be able to obtain pieces from the younger units.
- There should also be a section for leaders
- There will be a bridging component
- There should be a component to increase new members as well encourage girls to continue on in Guiding.
- This can be used in NB & PEI but also other provinces and countries could apply it.
