Provincial Youth Forum

Newfoundland and Labrador Youth Forum

The NL Youth Forum gives youth members an opportunity to make their voices heard and ensure youth have a say in Guiding in the province. Volunteering with Youth Forum gives youth the chance to meet other youth from across the province and make a difference in the future of Guiding. Youth Forum is a way to make new friends, develop new skills, strengthen leadership skills and build a resume.

Annalea P.

Annalea P.

My name is Annalea. I am the Youth Chair. I am an 8th year member of Girl Guides and 3rd year Ranger. In Guiding I strive to achieve badges or complete challenges. I also like the responsibility and respect Guiding teaches us to have when engaging with our community. I am an active member of my school community of St. Bonaventure's College with debate club and social justice club. I am also employed by their after-school program tending to the elementary students. I am on the RCMP National Youth Advisory Committee and a part of Young Canadians Roundtable on Health and participating in Pride/Swell Queer Expression through art exhibit. I had participated in Miss Teen Trinity Conception Pageant and currently participating with Miss Achievement NL. I was the first-place winner of the first online summit facilitated by WRDC STEMforGIRLS.ca. I won silver at Skills Canada Green Energy Challenge for building a vertical axis wind turbine. I participated in a documentary overseen by Sharing Our Cultures Inc. I like to keep busy, forever learning and stay positive. Last year I won the GGC 2023 - Ranger - Change Maker Award for my effort towards various outreach projects in my various communities. Happy Guiding!

Hi, my name is Madison. I am the Deputy Chair for the Youth Forum! I am in my eleventh year of Guiding, and a 1st year Ranger in the Stephenville District. My favourite thing about Girl Guides is camping and making memories I will recall for the rest of my life. I hope to travel a lot in Rangers, and to become the best Guide and role model in my community I can possibly be. I’m so excited to hopefully make a positive change with Guiding in Newfoundland with the Youth Forum while I’m a part of it!

Hi, my name is Regan. I’m the Activities and Service Project coordinator! I am 16 years old, and a second-year Ranger of the 1st Happy Valley rangers in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador. I have been a member of Guiding for 12 years.

In my free time I enjoy exploring my creativity through art and hanging out with friends, which being part of GGC has promoted. I have won multiple badge design contests within my Guiding years that have grown me as an artist and is definitely one of my favourite things to do in Guiding along with meetings with my friends and outings!
