LEAP FAQs

About LEAP 2025

What is LEAP?

LEAP is an Ontario provincial camp designed for adventurers and explorers and will host up to 1,200 campers and volunteers from across Ontario and Nunavut. A LEAP camper will discover everything she wants to be while participating in incredible Guiding activities, making memories, developing confidence and leadership skills and making many new friends from across Ontario, Nunavut and maybe even other parts of Canada.

When is LEAP 2025?

LEAP 2025 will take place August 3-9, 2025. It is expected that all camp participants, girls and Patrol Guiders, will arrive with their patrol and be at camp for the entire duration. Participants will be expected to fully participate for the entire camp. Caregivers will not be permitted to take their child(ren) off-site during the camp unless it is for a family emergency. Caregivers must contact the Responsible Guider of their child(ren)’s patrol should such a situation arise. Patrol Guiders, given their responsibility for the girl/youth members in their patrol, are bound by this same rule and must remain on site for the entire duration of camp unless it is for a family emergency. If this situation should arise, the Patrol Guider must contact the Camp Responsible Guider and a suitable replacement will need be found.

What birth years will Guides, Pathfinders and Rangers be for LEAP 2025?

LEAP is for Guide-aged girls and older (Guides born in 2014 through to Rangers* born in 2007). Girls who are 10-17 years old by Dec 31, 2024, are eligible to attend LEAP as campers.

*Rangers who are 18 years old at the time of camp can either attend as a participant or join in as adults, provided their adult membership screening is complete.

  • Getting creative with special fine arts and craft projects like pottery and painting
  • Conducting innovative STEM experiments like robotics, participating in meaningful community service projects
