Unit Camping Programs

Join us at camp with your Guiding unit! Recruit your fellow Guiders to meet Safe Guide ratio and we'll do the rest at an affordable rate. We'll set up registration, take payment, provide Safe Guide paperwork, plan and deliver program, plan the menu and make meals. Camping programs for units are a great way for you to spend time playing and bonding with your girls and provide a wonderful opportunity to prepare for any interprovincial or National camp in the future! Your responsibilities will be to have fun, supervise your girls and lend a helping hand. All you need to do is get there!

Non-members can attend these provincial camping events. Additional fees apply.

Spring Canoe Trip for units

Girl Guides of Canada Ontario Camping Spring Canoe program for units

The Spring Canoe Trips will be an amazing opportunity for girls to gain skills and work on the Duke of Edinburgh award. Choose from a three or four day trip. Trips will be guided by experienced and qualified staff members who are passionate about the great outdoors and developing skills in youth.

When:

May 18-21st, 2018 at Doe Lake Camp   - SOLD OUT
June 21-24th at Camp Woolsey (starting and finishing point at Algonquin Achray)
10 a.m. drop-off and 5 p.m. pick-up
Ages: Girls born in 2000-2005
Cost: 4-day trip: $195+HST for participants (including leaders)
3-day trip: $175+HST for participants (including leaders)


Transportation will not be provided.

Girl Guides of Canada Ontario Camping Summer Camping programs for unitsSummer Camp Week for units

Units can join in a week of summer camp at camps Adelaide and Doe Lake. To enjoy the unit discount, the minimum group size is 10 girls. Because you will help to organize the trip and provide some supervision, we can offer units attending summer camp our lowest one-week cost:

Rate (per Girl Guide member):
  • $325 +HST (same cost for all ages) for Camp Adelaide - Sunday to Friday
  • $485 +HST (same cost for all ages) at Doe Lake Camp - Sunday to Friday
  • All meals and activities are included. Transportation is optional. Each girl must pay an additional fee if she wishes to ride the bus to and/or from camp.

We want everyone to join in the fun of camp! Girl Guides of Canada, Ontario Council offers financial assistance (campership) to eligible girl members for camping programs. Information on applying for a campership is included in the online camp application form for each program.
