Girl Guide Cookie Invasions

Girl Guide units have been creating quite a buzz in offices across Ontario with Girl Guide Cookie Invasions. By selling cookies at local offices and events, Girl Guides like Fiona of the 2nd Milton Guides are not just raising funds, but also raising awareness of Girl Greatness and having fun! "The whole day was so much fun! The people (at the event) were so nice...they came out and bought lots of cookies and thanked us for being there," she said, after a successful sale at Gordon Food Service.

Guiders Elizabeth and Allison from community 17 were all smiles at The Drake Hotel Summer Pop-Up Market Girl Guide Cookie Invasion. The Drake Hotel is an iconic Toronto landmark and a social hotspot for guests, foodies and music lovers.

Here’s what participating groups had to say about their experiences selling cookies at The Drake Hotel…

Everyone at the Drake Hotel was very friendly and welcoming and the people who stopped were very nice!  Thank you for the opportunity again!

It was actually great - the table is on the sidewalk right on the corner in front of their patio, so you get all the street traffic. Our cookies were late to arrive, but in the hour and a half that we were set up we did almost 2 cases.

The staff were exceptionally accommodating and helpful and the set up was great - table, chairs and an umbrella to provide shade.

This fun cookie selling opportunity started on May 28th and continues until September 4th

On Friday, April 15th, 2016, girls from the 2nd Milton Guides, 1st Milton Pathfinders and 2nd Milton Rangers invaded the offices of Gordon Food Service for the first ever Girl Guide Cookie Invasion! The order for the cookies was placed by Gordon Food Service and the girls were invited to distribute the cookies to their employees. The girls were given the opportunity to lead a presentation to the staff about Girl Guides and how they are developing their leadership skills as they will be our future leaders of businesses and corporations.  They also spoke about the fun, adventures and benefits of Girl Guides.  Read more about the Gordon Food Service Girl Guide Cookie Invasion.
