Theme: Singing Across Canada

A great campfire follows a specific pattern. It starts out slow and inviting and then quickly moves into familiar and fun songs: loud, repeat-after-me, or action songs. After reaching the fever pitch, the campfire changes; it becomes more meaningful and reflective and finally brings everyone together for closing.

This Challenge is intended to be used as a guide for campfire leaders to build a memorable campfire to share with others. Many of the songs may be new to you and that is OK. The best campfires teach a new song or two! If you know very few of them, then we encourage you to add a couple at a time to become familiar with some songs from across this great country of ours. You may also substitute a favorite song that you already know from a particular region of the country. We have classed the songs into where they might fit in a campfire but feel free to mix it up!

This year’s Sing Ontario Sing challenge is divided into five regions:
  1. Atlantic Provinces
  2. Central Provinces (Ontario & Quebec)
  3. Prairie Provinces
  4. British Columbia
  5. Northern Territories
