Book a Site or Equipment at Elkwater
The Elkwater Girl Guide Camp is located on a beautiful property in the townsite of Elkwater, located on the Alberta side of Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. This camp offers overnight indoor and outdoor camping facilities with various amenities.
Currently, all bookings for Elkwater Girl Guide Camp are being processed through the Alberta Council Property Booking form.

Prairie Rose Lodge (indoor and outdoor/tenting, overnight capacity: 30, day capacity: 105)
Overnight booking rates: $100 deposit + $125/night rental
The deposit fee will be refunded after the on-site coordinator confirms no damage after the rental.

- Indoor running water and seasonal outdoor tap water
- Kitchen with refrigerator, stove, chest freezer, dishwasher, cooking equipment and dishware
- Area available for tent camping (bring your own tents)
- Five rooms with six bunks in each room
- Main area for games and crafts with tables, chairs and couches
- Clothes washer and dryer available
- Picnic tables and firepit with firewood provided for Cypress Hills Area Guiding groups
- Garbage service available; groups required to take recycling home
- Low ropes maze and trails off-property but nearby

Whispering Winds (overnight capacity: 50, day capacity: 50, open seasonally from May to October)
Overnight Booking Rates: $50 Deposit + $80/night Rental

Equipment available for rent
All equipment is located at Cypress Hills Area Office. Please note that booking confirmation for equipment will depend on availability. Please submit the Equipment Request form to reserve equipment for your unit or event.
Canoes, Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Pond Study Kits, Fishing Equipment, and off-property Nature Centre are available for booking separately through Cypress Hills Provincial Park. Please visit http://www.cypresshills.com/ for more information.
Archery
Archery is allowed only on the Prairie Rose site and requires permit with Cypress Hills Provincial Park and Area Commissioner must be informed. Please contact ANY-PropertyBooking@girlguides.ca for more information. This equipment is located at the Cypress Hills Area Office

Booking terms and conditions
Cancellation Policy
If a cancellation is made more than 30 days before the first booking date, the booker shall have their full deposit and rental fee refunded, minus a cancellation fee of $25.00. If the cancellation is received within 30 days of the first booking date, the rental fee will not be returned but they will be refunded the deposit back. If there are extenuating circumstances, they will be considered at Cypress Hills Area Council’s discretion.
