Equipment available for rent

A variety of equipment to enhance your programming is available on site or for pick-up in Edmonton. Please note that booking confirmation for equipment will depend on availability. Please submit the Equipment Request form to reserve this onsite equipment for your unit or event.

Archery

There is a flexible range at Sandy Lake. The range is available for bookings from April to October for Guide-aged girls to adults. To book please fill out the Equipment Booking Request form on the ANY council property booking web site. A Qualified Archery Leader (QAL) is required to run an archery program and book the equipment. Please provide their name at time of booking. If you do not have access to a QAL, you can request one from the core team of QALs through property bookings. The Edmonton Area Archery Coordinator will contact you to discuss the range times, age, experience of the girls, and any program-related themes that can tie into your archery program. A typical time block for a group of 15 girls will be 1.5 – 2.0 hours in length, plus set up and take down of the range. We do not rent our archery equipment to anyone outside of Edmonton Area Guiding units and leaders. There is a $3.00 fee for each participant that will be transferred from the Guiding unit’s or District’s Centralized Banking account, along with the campsite rental fees.

Participants will experience hands-on exploration through the activities, games, and resources. Some activities require a small amount of preparation or supplies ahead of time, while many don’t require any supplies at all. The kits are stored in marked bins stacked on shelving in the Nest, and are clearly labeled. Please return items to their proper place for others to enjoy.
