Girl Guides of Canada’s nationally-sponsored travel experiences offer girls the chance to increase their understanding of global issues, explore new cultures and communities, and develop a sense of belonging to the global sisterhood of Guiding.

Girl Guides Australia is hosting an incredible camping event for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from around the world. Bring your spirit of adventure as you explore the natural beauty, unique history, and cultural diversity of Sydney and surrounding areas Down Under. You’ll participate in a wide range of activities including canoeing, hiking, outdoor cooking, crafts, swimming, games, and more!

August 8 – August 19, 2018

This is your chance to travel to Pax Lodge and explore London alongside Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from across the world. You’ll make unforgettable memories as you tour London’s amazing attractions, take the Leadership Challenge and participate in a community service project in the local area. You’ll also spend evenings at the theatre, participate in international activities, and celebrate the spirit of Guiding in the city where it all began!

Discover the magic of WAGGGS’ first World Centre, Our Chalet! On this trip, you’ll explore the beautiful Swiss Alps as you challenge yourself through a variety of adventure activities such as hiking, rock climbing, abseiling, and zip lining. You’ll also get to savour Swiss culture as you tour picturesque towns, visit local shops, and even sample authentic Swiss chocolate. Get ready to develop your leadership skills, discover the natural environment and build international friendships that can last a lifetime.

November 8 – November 16, 2018

This trip has it all!  Our Cabaña is offering an amazing opportunity to discover the culture and traditions of Mexico while also helping to preserve the lives of endangered sea turtles. You’ll start the trip off exploring Our Cabaña before heading off to Acapulco to volunteer at the Turtle Camp. You’ll play games on the beach, visit the ruins of Teopanzolco and celebrate with girls from around the world during a Mexican fiesta! 

  • 15 Girls - must still be registered as youth member of GGC at the time of the trip

As GGC is committed to the health and safety of its members at all times, GGC reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule trips, as might be required.


In order to provide as many members as possible with the opportunity to participate in nationally-sponsored trips, members are eligible to partake in one domestic and one international trip as follows:

  • Once as a girl
  • Once as a Guider
  • Once as an adult participating in a WAGGGS event or GGC determined endorsed event
  • In a designated role as determined by the Board, i.e.: Chief Commissioner, International Commissioner, CEO, etc.


  • Upon acceptance, a girl member may fundraise for her trip. Please refer to GGC’s fundraising guidelines which are available on Member Zone (ask your Guider to help you access these). As per the fundraising policy, all girl members are expected to pay 10% of the trip cost unless there is financial need.
  • Girl applicants may be eligible for travel grants from her province, area, unit, etc. It is recommended that she contact her council to inquire about this potential funding.
  • For adult members, the cost of the trip is covered through the Jean Youngson Memorial Bequest to the Canadian World Friendship Fund (CWFF).
  • Fundraising by adult members is not permitted as per GGC’s fundraising policy
