Camp Nebooktook

Nebooktook means 'Camp in the Woods' in Mi'Kmaq and is a Girl Guide campsite within the Tidewater Area.

Location

• The campsite is approx. 24 km north of Moncton in Notre Dame, NB
• Closest cities are Moncton and Dieppe
• Closest villages are Notre Dame, which includes a small convenience store/gas station and 10 km up the road a town is St. Antoine, with a supermarket

Facilities

• The camp is situated in a treed area off a secondary road
• Wooded area with some hiking trails and gravel pit
• During the winter there is snow shoeing and cross country skiing
• Two small rooms at the front - the kitchen and leaders bedroom with 3 sets of bunks
• Hot and cold running water
• Electric heat
• Telephone (long distance charges to be paid by user) - Camp number 506-576-9100
• A large dining room/activity room/sleeping area and tables and benches
• At the back is a mud room and bathroom
• The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 kitchen stoves, 2 fridges, cooking and eating dishes and utensils as well as a small microwave oven and a coffee maker
• Washroom facilities include hot and cold running water, 2 regular toilets and 1 wheelchair accessible toilet, sinks and 1 shower

Campsite

• A propane barbecue/campfire pit with wood available for a campfire
• Campfire benches (stored in shed)
• Kitchen shelter with 6 picnic tables
• Some patrol boxes and propane camp stoves for outdoor cooking
• Waste Water Disposal pit
• Taps on the outside of the building
• Large grassy tenting area
• Dusk to Dawn light near the tent area
• Flagpole
• Large playing area

Emergency Information

• RCMP Detachment within 15 minutes during the day time
• Emergency - Dial 911
• Nearest Hospital - Moncton Hospital

Campsite Fees

• $4.00 per person per day Spring, Summer and Fall for units in Tidewater Area.
• $5 for Guiding outside Tidewater Area and Other $8.00 per person per day.
