  • Sparkle and Glow camps are open to all registered Sparks and Embers (born 2016-2019) in Nova Scotia.
  • We anticipate the camps being very popular for our youngest branches. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept any applications after the posted deadline.
  • Girls and youth apply as an individual NOT as a unit.
  • If a girl or youth is selected, it would be to attend one camp.
  • We offer two weekends and locations to give more opportunities to girls and youth throughout the province.
  • The weekends will both have the same theme.
  • This is a two-night camp and everyone who is a successful applicant would be expected to stay the two nights. There is no option for one-night or just the day.
  • Camping experience is not required.
  • Please understand that this is an application and not a registration.
  • Acceptance letters will be sent out after the application period ends, along with information on how to complete payment and submit health and Safe Guide forms.
  • All applicants will be notified either way.
  • If you have multiple girls and youth who are applying, you will need to complete a separate application for each.
  • Roommate requests cannot be guaranteed, and we ask that these requests not be made.
  • Our quartermasters will ensure girls and youth will be fed a variety of delicious foods and can accommodate any dietary needs. *Health Forms will accompany acceptance letters. If accepted, please ensure these details are noted in detail there. Our quartermasters are happy to have conversations around food dietary needs with any families.
  • Activities at camp will consist of both indoor and outdoor activities.
  • The weekend will consist of program activities, games, outdoor activities and campfire fun among other things.
  • A kit list (a list of what to bring and not to bring to camp), along with other reminders will be emailed before camp.
  • Sleeping arrangements: For liability reasons, Guiders do not sleep directly with the girls and youth, but whether you are sleeping inside or outside, Guiders are close by, if the girls and youth need absolutely anything! Tents will be provided for youth and Guiders who are sleeping outside.
