Girl Guides of Canada-BC

This subsidy may cover up to 50% of the training expenses* for a pre-approved, paddling course such as:

• Paddle Canada Sea Kayaking Skills Level 2 certification
• Paddle Canada Intermediate Lake Canoeing with Intro Canoe Tripping Skills Tandem and solo certificate
• Paddle Canada Kayaking or Canoeing Instructor Certificate

General Qualifications

• Completion of OAL Adventure Modules 1-8, including the 5-day trip
• Completion of all external course prerequisites
• Demonstrated experience in overnight expeditions and or experience instructing our members in kayaking or canoeing, preferred
• Plan to participate in a related activity for Sparks or Embers, such as a meeting or camp skills station at camp. Check the BC Camping Resources for ideas
