Area Commissioners – Prairie Valley

Excited about a new leadership role in Guiding? Eager to lead a team of Guiders? Do you enjoy connecting with girls, leaders and families to grow and promote Guiding? Area Commissioners promote and administer Guiding in their Area, working with District Commissioners to ensure GGC continues to provide the best in mentorship and leadership to the girls. As the link between the Provincial Council and the area community, the Area Commissioner represents the girls and guiders in her area, while having input into decisions that support the implementation of policies and programs for all Manitoba guiding.

Cookie Adviser

Are you a person that loves the rush of a great Girl Guide Cookie campaign? We are looking for a dynamic member that loves the challenge of learning about, and being involved in, a variety of the steps associated with a Cookie campaign, including ordering, delivery, fundraising promoting, communication and training. The Provincial Cookie adviser works closely with the PC team and the National Cookie Department to ensure a successful year with the Girl Guide Cookie campaigns.

International Adviser

Do you like to support Girl Guides in achieving their travelling dreams? If so, this position is for you! As the International Advisor you get to promote travel opportunities, work alongside units preparing to travel, and assist individuals going on sponsored trips. 

Join Manitoba Council as the International Advisor to help as many girls as possible to travel through Girl Guides!

Link Adviser

Staying connected with our Link Members is an important role in MB Guiding. The Link Adviser provides support to Link members, and opportunities to stay connected to Guiding through communications, activities and events.


Are you a guider who would like to learn more about Manitoba Guiding? Do you want to play a role in provincial planning and decision making? Interested in taking on short-term projects that enrich MB Guiding such as helping with events, scholarships or awards? Members bring perspectives and opinions of the girls and guiders to council. Join MB council to share your ideas and be part of the team making Manitoba Guiding the best it can be!

Public Relations (PR) / Communications Advisor

Want to help spread the word about Manitoba Guiding? Skilled at photography? Interested in creating, promoting, and coordinating positive communications to inform members, families, and the community about Guiding? “From attending and helping at provincial events, taking photos to keep our social media updated, to helping design new advertising for Manitoba Girl Guides…it’s been such an amazing experience getting to branch out from just helping within my Unit and District”.

If you’re looking to expand your Guiding experience while promoting Manitoba Girl Guides, you could be our new PR/Communications Advisor. Share your ideas, create new PR strategies, and help us make great things happen for Manitoba Guiding!

Risk and Compliance Coordinator

Do you have knowledge of GGC polices, how GGC’s guidelines ensure a safe environment for girls and leaders, and an interest in keeping Guiders updated on the latest changes? As Risk and Compliance Coordinator, you would keep up on current issues, trends, and concerns in the areas of risk management and compliance, and help identify and mitigate exposure to risks that could impact GGC’s ability to be a catalyst for girls empowering girls. This position provides support and guidance to the Safe Guide Adviser.

Safe Guide Adviser

Are you a fanatic about detail? Do you have a knowledge of GGC policies and procedures? Do you want to ensure a safe environment for girls and leaders? Then Provincial Safe Guide Adviser is for you! You will be reviewing yearly Safe Guide updates with Assessors, recruiting and training new assessors, and responding to communications from National, all as required. This position reports to the Provincial Risk and Compliance Coordinator.

Trefoil Guild Liaison

Keeping our Trefoil Shining! The Trefoil Guild Liaison is an important communication link between the various Guilds within the Province and the National Trefoil Guild, and assists in organizing Guild events. Help ensure the spirit of Guiding remains strong and vibrant!
