Camping offers girls an opportunity to develop leadership skills while learning an appreciation for the outdoors, and a respect for our environment. The Camping Department is available to provide help and resources to any Guider planning a camp or outdoor activity. They are also responsible for circulating information about inter-provincial camping opportunities for girl and adult members as well as planning and province-wide camps that may be offered. The Camping Department may also work with the Training Department in presenting camp trainings which will improve the volunteer experience and enhance the Guiding program.
Going camping, getting outside and enjoying nature are some of the best parts of the Guiding experience. To help plan your camp, see Member Zone's Camping and Outdoors resources. You will find tools such as a sample camp itinerary, packing lists, menu planning templates, as well as information on training opportunities that can further develop your camping and outdoor skills.
