Once the SG.8 approval is received, complete the FR.1 (Application for Fundraising Approval) and attach the approved SG.8. It should then be submitted to nl-fundraising@girlguides.ca for approval.
Fundraising for travel can only begin after both the SG.8 and the FR.1 have been approved. All members (adults and girls) and units must follow all GGC policies and guidelines for fundraising. See the Member Zone Fundraising page for more information. (requires Member Zone login).
All trip units are registered in iMIS in order to allow for a unified banking account to be opened for the managing of the trip unit’s finances.
New trip unit creation paperwork (SG.8A/B, IT.11 forms) should be sent to our Travel Assessor at nl-safeguidetravel@girlguides.ca The Travel Assessor reviews the forms and then sends them to National, who register the trip in iMIS and replies to the Travel Assessor. The Travel Assessor then forwards to the Responsible Guider.
As you move forward in developing your plans you will need to continue to be in close contact with and the Travel Assessor for approval of your plans.
