Trefoil Guild is a membership activity for women who are 30 years old, and older. In many cases, Trefoil Guild members have been members of Guiding in a variety of roles for many years and join the Trefoil Guild to keep in touch with the organization and each other. However, Trefoil Guild is not only for seasoned members and is open to all members who meet the age requirement. And did you know, joining a Trefoil Guild does not require any additional membership fees!
Members who are actively Guiding are invited to join a Trefoil Guild in addition to working with a unit. However, if you’re unable to commit to being a unit Guider, that’s okay, and you can remain connected or even re-connect to the sisterhood through Trefoil Guild. Each individual Trefoil Guild is unique, however most tend to meet monthly, and share the meeting planning amongst the members.
In Newfoundland and Labrador, we have 19 Guilds (see list below) with approximately 170 Members. If there is no Trefoil Guild in your area, or no Trefoil Guild that meets your interest, recruit some members, and start a new Trefoil Guild!
The Trefoil Guilds have various interests from camping and hiking to lunching and attending lectures, crafting, retreats, sports, attending plays and visiting museums, depending on the interests and abilities of the members of each Guild. The possibilities and options are limitless. Trefoil Guild is about having fun and strengthening our friendships and connection to Guiding!

In addition to the individual Trefoil Guild meetings, each year the Trefoil Guilds in the province are welcome to attend a Provincial Trefoil Gathering, which traditionally has been at Lion Max Simms Memorial Camp in Bishop Falls. The next one is being planned for 2026, and we would love to have you there!
