Volunteer Opportunities

Our members tell us that volunteering with Girl Guides is one of their most personally rewarding experiences. When you volunteer with Girl Guides you help girls and young women develop the best within themselves and discover how to connect with people in their community and around the world. Girl Guides offers opportunities for personal growth, leadership and travel. Girl Guides also provides access to organized training, activity ideas, program resources, pre-planned events, greater community involvement as well as an opportunity to learn how to plan events.

Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Council recognizes the magnitude of the contribution made by volunteers, they play an integral part of our success. Whether it is a couple of hours per month or an hour every week, there are countless ways for women of all ages to participate in Guiding. Consider volunteering in one of the following ways:

  • Unit Guider working with girls

  • Assisting at special events

  • Helping out at camp

  • Event planning

  • Helping girls learn a new skill

Help us bring Guiding to each and every girl across Newfoundland and Labrador, new volunteers are welcome year round. For more information please contact our Member Support and Community Development Assistant, Leah Stone, at nl-mscda@girlguides.ca or 1-800-565-8111.
