Unit portion of Membership fee to follow the girl
to all adult members
At the start of each Guiding year, a portion of each girl’s membership fee is deposited into the unit’s bank account. This money can be used to support activities, badges, crafts, etc. for the girl. In the initial part of the Guiding year there can be a lot of registration movement, since the girls are finding a unit that best suits their schedule. Therefore to better support Treasurers and unit budgeting, the unit portion of the girl’s membership fee will now ‘follow the girl’ on November 25th, 2019. This means that if a girl changes units, the membership fee ($24 in its entirety) will be withdrawn from the unit account and transferred to the new unit. If a girl withdraws from GGC, the membership fee ($24) will come back to the provincial account. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your unit banking team.
