Ontario Girl Guides of Canada

Ontario Council is committed to providing girls with an amazing selection of opportunities to get outdoors, including:

• Hands-off planning with Fully Serviced Outdoor Experiences – You supervise your unit and expert staff takes care of the rest.
• Unit-led visits to a Preferred Vendor facility – Choose from a variety of vetted facilities where the planning process has been started for you.
• Receiving funding through the Get ON Outdoors Subsidy – A reimbursement subsidy to make cool, unit-led Outdoor Experiences more financially accessible.

Fully Serviced Outdoor Experiences

These are experiences created for girls and units of all sizes. As Guiders, you can focus on having great experiences with your unit and girls and our team and the facilitators will take care of all the other planning for you. There’s no cost for Guiders up to a maximum Safe Guide ratio. These experiences are offered seasonally in the fall, winter and spring and have both overnight (two nights) and day-only options.

• Fully Serviced Outdoor Experiences – Overnights
  All weekend experiences are $125+HST per girl member. Financial assistance may be available through the Outdoor Experience Financial Assistance program. All meals and snacks are provided.

• Fully Serviced Outdoor Experiences – Days
  Day experiences vary in cost between $8–$18 per girl member depending on the Experience. Don’t forget to pack a lunch – meals and snacks are not provided.

Preferred Vendors

Choose from a list of facilities vetted by GGCOC and plan a visit with your unit. Some of the Safe Guide paperwork has been started for you. You do the booking, paperwork and registration yourself and can choose from various programming options.
