What’s the Girls’ Open Forum?
It’s an event where girl members can share their ideas and ask questions to our national and provincial leaders.
Who can attend?
This event is meant for girl members. All girl members are welcome to attend with their Guiders.
To whom should I address my issue or idea?
The CEO, Board of Directors, Provincial Commissioners, staff directors, and National Youth Council will form the session’s panel.
If I attend in person, what can I expect to do during the session?
If are you attending in person, you are invited to a lunch at 1 p.m. The lunch will include some activities and games to get things started! After lunch, from 2-4 p.m., the GGC leaders will take their seats and address each girl’s question or idea. Girls are encouraged to ask questions in front of the whole group or in smaller groups at their tables.
What if I can’t attend in person but I have a question or thought to share?
The Girls’ Open Forum will be broadcasted via webcast, where members from across the country can watch and ask questions through a chat box. RSVP using the online attendance form. You can include your thoughts and questions in the RSVP or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you want to submit a larger file like a video, please use https://wetransfer.com/. Videos will be compiled and shared at the event.
What will I get if I ask a question or submit an idea?
Anyone who takes part in this event – in person, online, by submitting a video or question, by hosting a viewing party or by doing the Girls First activity – will receive a special acknowledgement in the mail, which includes a selection of crests.
