Units are welcome to book the Guide House for events and sleepovers. Members can choose from a variety of indoor spaces, review property amenities and availability and book a room. Check-in and check-out times

Check-in after 3 p.m., check-out by noon.

Orientations

Orientations are required for unit meeting bookings, events and sleepovers. Orientations, key pick-up, information, procedures, and security instructions can be scheduled by emailing NS-PropertyCommittee@girlguides.ca .

General Amenities and Information

Bookings must be cancelled prior to 48 hours.
The Guide House as a TV, fully functioning kitchen (20 place settings), cooking utensils, and basic cleaning/bathroom items
Attendees are responsible for bringing paper towels, napkins, dish cloths and towels, pots and pans
Compost is to be removed by unit upon departure.
All rooms and equipment at the Nova Scotia Guide House are free to use for GGC groups.

Sites

Mayflower Room (overnight capacity: 24, day capacity: unit – 25, theatre seating – 25, boardroom seating – 20, room dimensions – 14ft x 33ft)

Indoor wheelchair-accessible flush toilets
Main area for games and crafts with tables and chairs
Kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave and cooking equipment
Cleaning supplies and garbage service provided
Main parking lot

Osprey Room (overnight capacity: 24, day capacity: Unit – 20, theatre seating – 20, boardroom seating - 20, room dimensions – 12ft x 33 ft)

Leaders may use the Lobby as needed for sleepovers
Indoor wheelchair-accessible flush toilets
Main area for games and crafts with tables and chairs
Kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave and cooking equipment
Cleaning supplies and garbage service provided
Main parking lot

Apple Blossom Room (day capacity: 5, room dimensions- 12ft x 12ft)

Indoor wheelchair-accessible flush toilets
Main area for meetings with one table and five chairs
Access to full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave and other cooking equipment
Cleaning supplies and garbage service provided
Main parking lot

Please note that booking confirmation for equipment will depend on availability. Please submit the Equipment Request form to reserve equipment for your unit or event.

Canada Flags

Four sets available. Carrying complete with poles and stands (no holsters). There is no cost to using this equipment.

NS Provincial Flags

Three sets available. Carrying complete with poles and stands (no holsters). There is no cost to using this equipment.

Canada Guiding flag

Four sets available. Carrying complete with poles and stands (no holsters). There is no cost to using this equipment.

WAGGGS Flags

Five sets available. Carrying complete with poles and stands (no holsters). There is no cost to using this equipment.

Street Banners

One small nylon, two small vinyl and one large nylon flag available. There is no cost to using this equipment.
