For girls ages 5 to 6 Sparks usually meet once a week for an hour
In Sparks, girls are encouraged to try a bit of everything and begin discovering their individual skills and talents. Girls will make lots of new friends, start collecting badges and begin to learn all kinds of new skills in a safe and fun atmosphere.

Activities include:
- Discovering the community through outings places like a fire station, a farmer's market or a neighbourhood landmark
- Exploring the arts by making masks or a creating a dance
- Learning about bike safety
- Having fun preparing simple snacks
- Discovering the outdoors on a nature scavenger hunt
- Having sleepovers or going camping
Unable to attend regular meeting?
Lones is an option for girls who are unable to attend regular meetings due to distance, health, studies or physical challenge. Lones carry out the program of their branch by correspondence. If you are interested in joining Girl Guides of Canada as a Lone Member, contact your Provincial Office.
