Guides Guides

For girls ages 9-11
If you like trying new things, learning about the world and challenging yourself, then you'll love Guides. It's not about cliques or competition - Guides is about real friends, real fun and real adventure.

What do Guides do?

Guide units meet once a week, usually for two hours. In Guides, you'll develop leadership abilities as you start making your own decisions about Unit activities, organizing parties and teaching each other games and skills. You'll have the chance to take a stand on issues important to you and to make the world a better place through community service projects. And of course, you'll have a blast hanging out with other girls. No two Guide meetings are alike.

Activities include:

  • Helping at a local food bank
  • Starting a book club
  • Holding a multi-cultural fashion show
  • Learning about online safety
  • Working on our anti-bullying challenge
  • Planning a spa night
  • Camping under the stars
  • Creating a digital photo gallery

Always fun and never boring - that's what Guides is about.
