Hello everyone! As the Guiding Year comes to a close over the next few months, your Programming Committee wanted to help girls/units who may still need a little help filling some gaps in their programming!
We are pleased to offer the first of several provincially run virtual meetings! Each meeting will be based on a different Program Area - the first being Explore Identities. Depending on the branch, they may cover a different Theme within the Program Area.
Any girl in Newfoundland and Labrador can register for these meetings (we will put out a call for ratio Guiders once Registration is complete). These meetings are a great way to interact with Girl Guides from across our province, as well as learn some new things and have fun!
We understand that some dates/times may not work for all, or that some may need program work on a different theme than what is offered, that is why girls can attend a meeting either for their own branch, or for one branch above or below their current branch (i.e. if a Brownie cannot attend the Brownie meeting, or has already completed that theme, they can register for the Spark OR the Guide meeting!).
There is no cost to these meetings, as they are being run by local Guiders or invited Special Guests. We will be using Microsoft Teams for these meetings. No special accounts required.
Meeting Dates are as follows:
- Sparks - Tuesday, May 4 at 6:30 PM (6:00 PM in Labrador - 1 hour in length)
- Brownies - Monday, May 17 at 6:30 PM (6:00 PM in Labrador - 1 hour in length)
- Guides - Monday May 3 at 7:00 PM (6:30 PM in Labrador - 1 hour in length)
- Pathfinders - Wednesday May 12 at 7:00 PM (6:30 PM in Labrador - 1.5 hours in length)
- Rangers - Thursday May 13 at 7:00 PM (6:30 PM in Labrador - 1.5 hours in length)
*Trex members - Grades 7-9 are Pathfinder aged, Grades 10-12 are Ranger aged - please register accordingly.
*Guiders - if you wish for your whole unit to join (we definitely encourage this!), please email nl-program@girlguides.ca to register your unit.
All girls who participate will be emailed a list of the activities after their meeting to share with their Guider for badge tracking.
