Guiding members across ANY Council celebrated Thinking Day 2024 by reflecting on what makes their Guiding Light shine and by visiting local landmarks that were lit up blue in celebration of the event.
Every year, on February 22, Girl Guides celebrate World Thinking Day, a day of international friendship. It is an opportunity to speak out on issues that affect girls and young women, celebrate the founding of Girl Guides, and be connected to the 10 million members around the world who are part of the Guiding movement.
Here in Alberta, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon (ANY), we have thousands of youth and women who are members of Girl Guides of Canada. We have Girl Guide programs in many communities in ANY Council, and our girls/volunteers light up their communities year-round through leadership, community service, and efforts to create a better world, by girls.
To do the ANY Council Guiding Lights challenge and to get the crest, visit the "Other / Retired" tab of the ANY Council Challenges page.
